Priorities and Looking After Number One

Let me paint you a picture. Imagine a big family sitting around the table at dinner. This family used to be a shining example of what a family should be. They were extremely creative, wealthy and the whole world looked at them in awe. However because of “fairness” and stupidity the family started taking business advice off a trained monkey and some other person who never even worked in the local 7/11. Surprise Surprise business went bad and they are about to declare bankruptcy.

This family is sitting at the dinner table trying to plan on what to do. What can they do with workers, what can they do with people who are retired, how they going to survive themselves, and basically where the next meal was going to come from? Extremely sad situation. What would your reaction be if I told you that family sitting at the dinner table was not discussing those important decisions that affect so many, but rather were discussing a situation facing another family which has no effect on them whatsoever.. Would you be happy, sad or mad as hell?? Or would you wanna shout at them where the hell are your priorities!!!!

For those that missed it and are unsure of what I am talking about – Detroit recently declared bankruptcy and is looking to be bailed out by the federal government. This week the local council met to discuss options and solutions. However item also discussed the George Zimmerman case and whether or not the Department of Justice should file additional charges.

You will be happy to know that not only did the council discuss this matter, but also voted 46 to 1 that the Department of Justice should pursue further charges. Talk about priorities….
